Justin Faulk scored the go-ahead goal with 2:07 left in the third period, and the St. Louis Blues stormed back for a 7-5 win over the visiting Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday night.
Jordan Kyrou tallied two goals for St. Louis, which trailed 5-2 before scoring the final five goals. Faulk and Robert Thomas each had a goal and an assist, and Kevin Hayes and Pavel Buchnevich tallied two assists apiece.
Nick Foligno scored twice for Chicago. Jarred Tinordi and Taylor Raddysh each had three assists.
The Blackhawks grabbed a three-goal lead with 14:44 remaining in the third period. Foligno scored his second goal of the game and his eighth of the season, and it also marked his first short-handed goal in 1,114 career games.
Then came the comeback.
Brandon Saad scored on the power play to trim the Blues' deficit to 5-3 with 12:07 remaining.
Jake Neighbours tallied another power-play goal to make it a one-goal game with 9:17 to go.
Kyrou delivered the game-tying goal only 23 seconds later.
St. Louis kept up the pressure on Blackhawks goaltender Arvid Soderblom. Faulk put the Blues on top 6-5 with 2:07 remaining, with Torey Krug earning the assist.
Kyrou added an empty-net goal with 1:01 remaining to seal the outcome.
Soderblom allowed six goals on 41 shots to take the loss.
Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington got the victory despite giving up five goals on 20 shots.
St. Louis opened the scoring 3:04 into the first period. Thomas ripped a wrist shot into the top left corner of the net for his 13th goal of the season.
Connor Bedard evened the score 45 seconds later on one of the top highlight-reel goals of the season. The 18-year-old rookie got the puck behind the net, scooped it on top of the blade of his stick and lifted it above Bennington's left shoulder before shoving it into the net.
Teammates laughed in amazement as they congratulated Bedard on the "Michigan goal," which is named for the college team that was the first to score the lacrosse-style goal.
Anthony Beauvillier and Jason Dickinson also scored for Chicago.
Colton Parayko added a goal for St. Louis.
