Goaltender Tristan Jarry had 39 saves and made Pittsburgh history by scoring a goal as the Penguins won at Tampa Bay for the fourth straight time, beating the Lightning 4-2 on Thursday night.

Sixteen minutes after Jeff Carter scored the tiebreaking goal -- his first this season -- on a give-and-go with Matt Nieto at 2:49 in the third period, Jarry lifted the puck with his goalie stick and lofted a long shot toward the Lightning's empty net.

The puck went in at 18:52 for the first tally by a netminder in franchise history.

Sidney Crosby and Drew O'Connor closed out Pittsburgh's two-game road trip (1-0-1) with goals, as the Metropolitan Division club scored four unanswered in winning for the fifth straight time overall against Tampa Bay.

The Penguins finished November with an 8-4-1 mark.

Steven Stamkos and Tanner Jeannot scored goals for the Lightning. Top-line right winger Nikita Kucherov notched two assists to bring his NHL-leading points total to 39.

Backstop Andrei Vasilevskiy had 25 saves in his first home game of the season.

Stamkos deflected Victor Hedman's shot on the Lightning's 15th shot on goal. It was the captain's 10th goal this season and came at 9:06 of the first period.

Kucherov collected the secondary assist, extending his point streak to eight games, the club's longest thus far. Also, his eight straight matches with a helper set a career high.

Late in the first power play, Mikhail Sergachev put a shot on goal from above the high slot. Jeannot made it 2-0 when he backhanded the rebound for his fifth goal at 12:33.

The Lightning were dominant over the first 20 minutes, outshooting the visitors 17-5.

However, the Penguins came to life in the opening half of the second, and Jake Guentzel stole the puck from Kucherov and sent Crosby on a breakaway.

The captain sped in, fired a high shot and beat Vasilevskiy stick-side for his team-leading 14th tally at 8:53.

That marker, Crosby's 564th, tied him with Joe Nieuwendyk and Mats Sundin for 24th in all-time NHL goals.

Another miscue at the Lightning blue line led to Kris Letang sending Evgeni Malkin in on a two-on-one with O'Connor.

Playing in his 100th NHL game, O'Connor took a perfect feed from Malkin and tapped in his second goal with 36 seconds left for a 2-all tie.

In a complete turnaround, the Penguins held a 19-7 shot advantage in the second frame.
