Oklahoma 90, Baylor 76: Senior guard Sam Grooms had a career-high 23 points as the Sooners ran away early from the visiting Bears.

Steven Pledger went 7-of-9 for 17 points and Romero Osby added 17 points on 6-of-9 shooting for the Sooners, (18-8, 9-5 Big 12), who improved to 10-2 at home. The Sooners hit 6-of-10 3-pointers in the first half and finished the game at 50 percent (7-of-14) from long range.

Pierre Jackson scored 24 of his 28 points in the second half to lead the Bears (16-11, 7-7 Big 12), who shot 25.8 percent from the floor in the first half. Isaiah Austin added 15 points and three blocks.

The Sooners jumped to an early 14-7 lead by hitting four of their first five 3-pointers and closed the first half on an 18-1 run. Pledger and Osby each had three-point plays during the run and Osby's layup with two seconds left gave Oklahoma a 47-21 halftime lead.

Jackson had eight points as Baylor opened the second half on a 17-6 run but the Bears never got closer than 12 points.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Jackson's jumper early in the second half made him the fifth Baylor player to reach 1,000 points in his first two seasons (64 games). ... Oklahoma's Je'lon Hornbeak chipped two teeth when he was hit midway through the first half. He went to the locker room but returned to the court for the second half and finished with 13 points. ... Oklahoma will finish at .500 or better in league play for the first time since 2009.
