Colorado sharpshooter Levi Knutson caught fire in the second half, fueling a dramatic 91-89 comeback victory Saturday over No. 5 Texas in Boulder, Co.

Texas led by 22 in the first half and was up 18 with 16 minutes to play, before Knutson and the Buffaloes (18-11, 7-7 Big 12) went on a 26-4 run. Knutson hit three 3-pointers during the spurt, which helped hand Texas (24-5, 12-2 Big 12) its second straight upset loss on the road.

Alec Burks had 23 of his 33 points in the second half, including two clinching free throws with 15 seconds to play, to give the Buffaloes a badly-needed showcase win on their NCAA Tournament resume. Knutson finished with 21 points on 8-of-14 shooting.

The Longhorns’ hopes of earning a No. 1 seed, on the other hand, took a huge hit. They fall back into a tie with No. 2 Kansas for first place in the Big 12 and have only one day to regroup before hosting surging Kansas State on Monday.

Jordan Hamilton and J'Covan Brown led five Longhorns in double figures with 21 points each.
