HORNETS 83, WARRIORS 81: Chris Wright was called for goaltending on Marco Belinelli’s driving layup with 0.7 seconds left as visiting New Orleans edged Golden State in a wild finish.

Belinelli, who led the Hornets with 23 points, got the winning points after Gustavo Ayon blocked Charles Jenkins’ short jumper with five seconds remaining.

The Hornets had lost six of seven on the road since defeating the Warriors on March 28.

Ayon had 13 points and seven rebounds, Carl Landry scored 14 and Al-Farouq Aminu had 11 rebounds, the second time this season he has reach double figures in rebounds.

Klay Thompson had 16 points to lead the Warriors. Brandon Rush scored 15 and Jeremy Tyler had 13 points and eight rebounds.

Jenkins had 10 points and a career-best 10 assists while Greivis Vasquez had 11 points and seven assists.

The Warriors took a 71-69 lead with 8:11 remaining and neither team scored again until Jenkins made two free throws with 5:33 remaining.

Jenkins keyed an 8-3 run with two more baskets and the Warriors led 79-72.

But the Hornets were not done as Belinelli pulled them to 81-79 with a 3-pointer with 1:46 to go.

Vasquez tied it at 81 before the wild finish.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
The Warriors promoted Bob Myers, 37, to general manager to replace Larry Riley. Golden State said Riley would remain with the organization as director of scouting. … Jenkins had seven of his career-best 10 assists in the first quarter to tie Stephen Curry’s season record for most in a period.
