Dirk Nowitzki scored 29 points and Jason Terry added 21 as the Dallas Mavericks notched a 116-108 victory over the visiting Indiana Pacers on Friday.
Nowitzki was 10 of 12 from the field and Terry hit back-to-back key shots late as Dallas (45-16) won its eighth straight game and 18th in 19 games.
Danny Granger tallied 22 points for Indiana (27-34), which has lost six of its last nine.
Dallas held an 11-point lead midway through the final quarter before Granger scored five points during an 8-0 Indiana run. But Terry responded with back-to-back mid-range baskets to give the Mavericks a 105-98 advantage with 2:23 left.
Jason Kidd scored 15 points and Roddy Beaubois added 13 points for Dallas.
Darren Collison scored 17 points, Josh McRoberts tallied 15 and Tyler Hansbrough had 13 for the Pacers.
A pair of free throws by Nowitzki had closed an 11-1 spurt that produced a 54-44 Mavericks lead midway through in the second quarter.
