Angels 4, Dodgers 3: Mark Trumbo drove in three runs to make a winner of Jered Weaver in his return from the disabled list and host Los Angeles ended a two-game skid.
Erick Aybar added three hits, including a run-scoring double, and Chris Iannetta doubled twice for the Angels. Weaver (1-1), who missed the last seven weeks after fracturing his non-throwing elbow, allowed one run and five hits in six innings and Ernesto Frieri worked the ninth for his 11th save, despite allowing solo home runs to Adrian Gonzalez and Scott Van Slyke.
Dodgers starter Chris Capuano (1-4) gave up three runs and six hits in 5 2/3 innings, but lost for the 14th time in his last 18 decisions dating to the middle of last season. Gonzalez had two of the seven hits for the Dodgers.
Albert Pujols walked with two outs in the fifth and Trumbo launched a 1-1 pitch over the fence in left-center field for a two-run homer and a 3-1 lead. The Angels took a 1-0 lead in the second inning on doubles by Iannetta and Aybar.
Weaver retired the first 12 batters before Andre Ethier led off the fifth with a double off the wall in right-center. Weaver managed to get the next two batters out, but Skip Schumaker served a soft single to center to tie the score at 1.
