Brewers 5, Braves 0: Marco Estrada pitched seven shutout innings and visiting Milwaukee hit three homers to take the series opener.

Carlos Gomez, Jonathan Lucroy and Aramis Ramirez blasted homers to power the Brewers' offense. Estrada (7-4) allowed only two hits and three walks while striking out six.

The Braves, who clinched the National League East title Sunday, finished with just three hits and lead St. Louis by a half-game for the best record in the NL. Starter Mike Minor (13-8) allowed three runs on eight hits in seven innings.

Gomez drilled his 22nd homer with one out in the first, launching Minor’s first pitch into the left-field seats. Norichika Aoki doubled with one out in the fifth and one out later Lucroy connected on his 18th homer to right, giving Milwaukee a 3-0 advantage.

Atlanta manager Fredi Gonzalez was ejected by home plate umpire Angel Hernandez in the seventh for arguing a pitch that Hernandez ruled did not hit Paul Janish. Ramirez, who finished with three hits, blasted his 12th homer with one out in the eighth and Yuniesky Bethancourt drove in the Brewers’ final run on an infield single later in the frame.
