Josh Hamilton collected four hits, including a home run, and three RBIs as the Texas Rangers posted a 7-6 victory over the host Seattle Mariners on Saturday.
Elvis Andrus and Adrian Beltre also went deep for Texas, which moved 4 1/2 games ahead of the Los Angeles Angels in the American League West. The Rangers, who have 10 games remaining, have won five of six.
Texas fell behind 4-1 before turning on the power in the third. Andrus led off the with a blast off Anthony Vasquez (1-4), who suffered his fourth straight loss, and Hamilton followed with his 23rd of the season and fourth in five games.
Beltre belted his sixth in seven contests two batters later to forge a 4-4 tie. Hamilton put the Rangers ahead in the fourth with a two-run single, and Michael Young made it 7-4 with a sacrifice fly.
Colby Lewis (13-10) set a career high in wins despite allowing six runs in 5 2/3 innings. Neftali Feliz struck out two in a perfect ninth for his 27th save in 33 opportunities.
Mike Carp hit a two-run homer, while Ichiro Suzuki and Kyle Seager also drove in two runs apiece for Seattle, which has lost 11 of 16.
