PHILADELPHIA - The Miami Marlins rallied for two runs in the ninth inning to beat the Philadelphia Phillies 7-6 on Saturday in Game 1 of a doubleheader.

Marcell Ozuna had the game-winning RBI single after Martin Prado's run-scoring triple tied the game against Phillies closer Ken Giles. The loss was Philadelphia's 98th of the season, putting the team one game ahead of the Cincinnati Reds for baseball's worst record and ownership of the first overall pick in next year's MLB Draft.

Christian Yelich set a career-high with five hits in the contest and got the damage started against Giles with a one-out single. Yelich easily scored on Prado's triple - which rolled around in the right-field corner - and two batters later, the Marlins took the lead on Ozuna's base knock.

Miami initially jumped out to a four-run advantage, but that was erased by the fourth inning. Cody Asche's three-run triple in the third inning got the home team on the board. It was Asche's third triple of the season and came with two outs against Miami starter Tom Koehler.

Philadelphia scored one run in each of the next three frames. The Phillies tied the game in the fourth thanks to Brian Bogusevic's solo homer to left field, his second of the season. They took the lead in the fifth inning after Aaron Altherr reached on an error by Marlins shortstop Donovan Solano, advanced to third on an errant pickoff throw by Koehler and scored on an Odubel Herrera single.

The Marlins tied the game 5-5 in the top of the sixth when Dee Gordon stole third and took home on a throwing error by Phillies catcher Carlos Ruiz. Philadelphia retook the lead almost immediately when Chase d'Arnaud tripled with one out in the sixth and scored on Freddy Galvis' fly ball to left field.

Miami initially took a 3-0 lead in the second inning thanks to an error by Phillies starter Aaron Harang as well as RBI singles from Dee Gordon and Yelich. The team stretched that lead to 4-0 when catcher Jeff Mathis hit his second homer in the third inning.

The Phillies bullpen had its 10 1/3 scoreless-inning streak snapped when reliever Ken Roberts gave up a run in the sixth inning. And though the team got a combined 2 1/3 scoreless innings from Hector Neris and Dalier Hinojosa, Giles could not shut the door.

Phillies third baseman Maikel Franco appeared as a pinch-hitter in the ninth inning for his first game action since Aug. 11. Franco, a rookie, missed more than seven weeks because of a fractured wrist, struck out to end the game.

A.J. Ramos worked around a one-out walk in the ninth to record his 31st save for Miami.

NOTES: Phillies 1B Darin Ruf hit five home runs in his previous 13 starts prior to Saturday, most of anyone on the team. Ruf had five home runs and 17 RBIs in 21 September games. ...
