Rockies 10, Brewers 4: Corey Dickerson recorded a pair of RBIs, two hits and two runs scored as Colorado snapped its six-game losing streak on the road while avoiding a season sweep against Milwaukee.
Troy Tulowitzki registered three hits and scored twice, Wilin Rosario contributed two hits, two runs and an RBI and Charlie Culberson hit a two-run homer for the Rockies, who won for only the second time in 13 games. Jorge De La Rosa (8-6) won his second straight start after allowing four runs and four hits in six innings.
Ryan Braun homered and doubled while Khris Davis drove in two runs for the Brewers, which finished the season series 6-1 against Colorado. Yovani Gallardo (5-5), who was 4-0 with a 1.09 ERA in five daytime starts this season and unbeaten in his last four turns, yielded season highs of eight runs (five earned) and 10 hits in five frames.
The Rockies scored three runs on one play in the fifth, when Milwaukee's Aramis Ramirez couldn't handle Rosario's grounder down the the third-base line, allowing Tulowitzki and Dickerson to cross the plate. Shortstop Jeff Bianchi retrieved the ball near the stands well behind third base, but his throw to the plate was too late to get Dickerson, and Rosario - digging for third at that point - scored to give Colorado an 8-2 lead when catcher Jonathan Lucroy's throw sailed into left field.
With two out in the first, Justin Morneau walked and Tulowitzki singled before Dickerson delivered a two-run double over the head of left fielder Davis, and Rosario followed with an RBI single. Morneau lifted a sacrifice fly in the second and DJ LeMahieu's two-out RBI single in the third gave the Rockies a 5-0 advantage.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Brewers CF Carlos Gomez (neck strain), who left Saturday's game after colliding with RF Braun, passed a concussion test but did not play. ... Dickerson left during an at-bat in the eighth inning with what the Rockies said was a leg cramp. ... Braun is 10-for-14 with three home runs, four doubles and 10 RBIs against De La Rosa.
