Rockies 11, Reds 2: Corey Dickerson homered twice while recording career highs in hits (four) and RBIs (four), and Jordan Lyles struck out eight in six innings as visiting Colorado avoided its first three-game losing streak of the season.
Troy Tulowitzki delivered his 11th home run and Charlie Blackmon and Justin Morneau each belted their eighth for the Rockies, who hit back-to-back homers twice while winning for the 10th time in their last 14 games. Lyles (5-0) extended his career-high winning streak after yielding two runs and four hits.
Joey Votto, whose walk-off homer gave Cincinnati a 4-3 victory Friday, delivered another solo shot and Ryan Ludwick drove in a run for the Reds. Alfredo Simon (4-2) yielded five runs and eight hits in three innings in his first non-quality start in seven outings this season for Cincinnati.
Colorado hit back-to-back homers for the first time since June 28 when Blackmon led off the game by hitting an 0-2 slider into the first row in right-center and Dickerson crushed a 3-2 fastball out to right. Votto homered on consecutive pitches when he led off the second with an opposite-field blast just over the wall in left.
Morneau capped Colorado's three-run third with a line two-run shot into the seats in right-center while Blackmon and Dickerson delivered back-to-back RBI doubles in the fourth to make it 7-1. Dickerson crushed a two-run shot to right-center in the sixth and Tulowitzki took one out to left three pitches later.
GAME NOTEBOOK: The Reds activated closer Aroldis Chapman, who was hit in the face by a line drive in a spring training game March 19, from the disabled list and optioned RHP Curtis Partch to Triple-A Louisville. ... Colorado 3B Nolan Arenado, whose 28-game hitting streak came to an end Friday, went 2-for-5 with a run scored. ... Reds starters had not allowed more than three runs in a game in their previous 10 turns.
