Dodgers 11, Rockies 0: Clayton Kershaw struck out eight in six innings in his final postseason tuneup and finished with a major league-leading 1.83 ERA while A.J. Ellis and Carl Crawford each homered and had three RBIs for host Los Angeles.
Adrian Gonzalez also went deep while Juan Uribe and Mark Ellis added two RBIs for the Dodgers, who are the No. 3 seed in the National League playoffs. Kershaw (16-9), the favorite to win his second Cy Young Award in three years, yielded four hits and also leads the NL with 232 strikeouts.
Colorado's Collin McHugh (0-4) allowed eight runs and nine hits in four innings as his ERA rose to 10.04 while falling to 0-7 with an 8.70 ERA in nine career starts. The Rockies mustered five singles and did not have a runner reach second base.
Uribe delivered a two-run double with two outs in the first inning while A.J. Ellis and Mark Ellis followed with RBI singles. Gonzalez's solo shot over the short wall in right field came in the third and gave him 100 RBIs for the sixth time in his career.
With one out in the fourth inning, Kershaw singled and Yasiel Puig walked before Crawford smacked a three-run blast in nearly the same spot as Gonzalez's to make it 8-0. Uribe singled to lead off the fifth and A.J. Ellis followed with a blast to center before Mark Ellis finished the scoring with an RBI single in the sixth.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Kershaw became the first pitcher to have the lowest ERA in the major leagues for three straight seasons since Greg Maddux from 1993-95. He is also the second Dodgers pitcher to record a sub-2.00 ERA - Sandy Koufax did it three times (1963-64, 1966). ... Rockies RF Michael Cuddyer went 0-for-4 to drop his average to .333, but leads Atlanta's Chris Johnson by nine points in the NL batting title race. ... Los Angeles' Zack Greinke (15-3) makes his final regular-season start Saturday and will oppose Juan Nicasio (8-9).
