Dodgers 8, Diamondbacks 7: Ivan De Jesus ripped a two-run double with two outs in the top of the ninth inning as Los Angeles overcame a five-run deficit to extend its winning streak to six games.
After Lyle Overbay capped a 4-for-4 effort with a solo homer in the eighth inning to give Arizona a 7-6 lead, the Dodgers went to work against closer J.J. Putz.
A pair of walks put runners aboard before De Jesus slapped an offering from Putz (0-3) over the head of center fielder Tony Gwynn Jr. to plate rookie Elian Herrera and veteran Bobby Abreu.
The late uprising made a winner out of Josh Lindblom (2-0), who permitted Overbay's second blast of the season. Kenley Jansen induced a game-ending double play to strand a runner at third base in the ninth inning and preserve his sixth save of the season.
After Diamondbacks starter Trevor Cahill departed, Los Angeles erupted for five runs in the seventh to tie the game at 6-6. Jerry Sands had a pinch-hit RBI double and Gwynn greeted Craig Breslow with a two-run single. After Josh Bell committed Arizona's second error of the inning, Abreu had an RBI single and De Jesus tied the game with a sacrifice fly.
Bell, playing in just his second game this season, deposited a 3-1 fastball from starter Aaron Harang over the wall in right-center field. The two-run shot in the second inning traveled an estimated 453 feet for his first homer since Aug. 28, 2010.
Justin Upton had three hits and drove in two and Henry Blanco also three hits for the Diamondbacks.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Bell was recalled from Triple-A on Monday after he hit .381 in 26 games with Reno. He played in 79 major league games with Baltimore from 2010-11. ... Los Angeles shortstop Dee Gordon returned to the lineup after being held out of the starting lineup since Friday. Gordon went 2-for-4.
