De'Aaron Fox scored 24 points and Richaun Holmes added 23 points and 12 rebounds as the surging Sacramento Kings topped the host San Antonio Spurs 132-115 on Monday.

The win was a season-high fifth straight for Sacramento, which will play at San Antonio again on Wednesday.

The Kings led by 19 points in the third quarter before San Antonio pulled within 104-101 early in the fourth. Sacramento then ripped off a 12-2 run to build its lead back to 13 points and never let the Spurs back to within 10 points down the stretch.

Buddy Hield added 20 points for the Kings while Tyrese Haliburton scored 15 points and dished out 10 assists. Harrison Barnes and Terence Davis hit for 14 points each for Sacramento, and Maurice Harkless tallied 13.

Dejounte Murray led the Spurs with 23 points while Derrick White scored 19. Jakob Poeltl and DeMar DeRozan racked up 17 points apiece, and Rudy Gay contributed 10. Poeltl also grabbed 11 rebounds for San Antonio, which has lost five of its past six games.

The game went back and forth in the first half. The Spurs led by as many as six points and settled for a 31-27 advantage after 12 minutes. Sacramento charged back and built a 58-50 lead on a 3-pointer by Fox with 3:26 left in the second period. The game was tied before the Kings finished the half with an 8-0 run that gave them a 68-60 edge at the break.

Fox led Sacramento with 13 points in the first half while Barnes and Holmes hit for 11 apiece by halftime.

Murray scored 21 points over the first two periods for the Spurs -- his career high for a first half. Poeltl added 15 points and eight rebounds prior to the break, and White had 10 first-half points.

The Kings led 95-76 in the third quarter before DeRozan shot San Antonio back in the game, scoring nine of the points on a 13-0 run that brought the Spurs within six. Sacramento was on top 97-91 heading to the final period.
