Backup goalie Mikko Koskinen recorded the win in his first NHL game in more than seven years, and Leon Draisaitl and Drake Caggiula both scored twice to lead the visiting Edmonton Oilers to a 5-3 win over the Nashville Predators on Saturday afternoon.

Koskinen, who last played in the NHL with the New York Islanders in 2010-11 and spent the last five seasons in the KHL before signing with the Oilers in the summer, stopped 24 shots in the victory.

The win also snapped Nashville's 13-game winning streak against Edmonton.

Caggiula opened the scoring at 11:41 of the first period. After Darnell Nurse's shot was stopped, Caggiula poked the puck loose and then swatted in the rebound.

It was the first goal Predators netminder Juuse Saros has ever surrendered against the Oilers, having collected shutouts in his two previous meetings.

Draisaitl, who celebrated his 23rd birthday on Saturday, doubled the lead with a power-play goal at 4:14 of the second period. Draisaitl was alone at the doorstep and quickly slammed home a setup by Milan Lucic.

Nashville's Filip Forsberg, who collected the sixth hat trick of his career, breathed life into the hosts with a power-play goal of his own at 18:46 of the middle frame, but Connor McDavid restored Edmonton's two-goal lead just seven seconds later.

Draisaitl netted his second of the game at 4:19 of the third period. He joined the rush, took a feed inside the blue line and ripped a shot into the cage from the slot.

McDavid also collected an assist to give him a two-point outing. Tobias Rieder added two helpers for Edmonton.

Forsberg scored twice in the third period, the first at 4:43 and the second on the power play at 15:54 to give him 10 tallies in 11 games this season. He made it a 4-3 game, but that's as close as the Predators could get.

Caggiula added an empty-netter with 1:46 remaining.

Saros made 30 saves in the loss for Nashville, which also received a three-assist game from Ryan Johansen.
