Blackhawks 4, Wild 1: Marian Hossa, Bryan Bickell and Brad Richards each collected a goal and an assist as host Chicago continued its dominance of reeling Minnesota.
Defenseman Johnny Oduya also tallied and Corey Crawford made 36 saves for the Blackhawks, who have won all three meetings with the Wild this season and 15 of the last 21 - including playoffs. Captain Jonathan Toews notched two assists and Patrick Kane also set up a pair of goals to extend his point streak in the series to seven games.
Matt Cooke cleaned up a rebound in the left faceoff circle with 4:52 left in the third period to end Crawford's bid for his 12th career shutout and second this season. Niklas Backstrom turned aside 31 shots for Minnesota, which has dropped a season-high five in a row and 11 of its last 13 (2-7-4).
Chicago jumped out of the blocks in a hurry as Hossa and Bickell staked the host to an early 2-0 lead. Brandon Saad slid a circle-to-circle feed to Toews, who found Hossa in front for an easy tap-in at 4:17 of the first period and Kane skated through the right circle before connecting with an unmarked Bickell on the left doorstep at 7:53.
The Blackhawks kept up the intensity and gained a 3-0 lead at 11:08 of the second period, when Kane's shot from the slot caromed off Wild defenseman Nate Prosser and right to Richards for the conversion. Wild leading-scorer Jason Zucker shot wide on a penalty shot with 3:43 remaining in the session and Oduya's wrister from the slot deflected off Minnesota defenseman Jared Spurgeon and past Backstrom two minutes later.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Kane has scored five goals and set up eight during his point streak in the series. ... Zucker breezed past Chicago D Niklas Hjalmarsson and was hooked by Oduya, prompting a penalty shot to be awarded. ... Hossa, Bickell and Richards each netted their ninth goal of the season and Oduya's tally was his second of the campaign - and first in 39 games.
