Flyers 7, Canadiens 3: Scott Hartnell registered his seventh career hat trick while captain Claude Giroux and Jakub Voracek each recorded a goal and two assists as visiting Philadelphia halted its four-game losing streak.
Wayne Simmonds had a goal and an assist, defenseman Erik Gustafsson also scored and Ilya Bryzgalov made 25 saves for the Flyers, who recorded a total of three goals during their slide.
Max Pacioretty scored and set up a goal while rookies Brendan Gallagher and Alex Galchenyuk also tallied for Montreal, which remained one point ahead of Boston for first place in the Northeast Division. Carey Price allowed six goals on 29 shots over two periods before being replaced by Peter Budaj, who stopped three shots in the third.
Hartnell began his impressive performance 7 1/2 minutes into the second period, when he beat Price with a one-timer from the left hash marks during a man advantage to give Philadelphia a 4-2 lead. He converted another power-play chance with 33 seconds remaining in the session to make it 6-3 before completing his hat trick at 12:45 of the third with a shot from the top of the slot.
Simmonds and Gustafsson scored just over three minutes apart early in the first to put the Flyers ahead 2-0, but Pacioretty tallied during a man advantage late in the period and Gallagher converted during another power play 38 seconds into the middle session to forge a tie. Voracek put Philadelphia in front for good just 24 seconds later, beating Price from the doorstep for his career high-tying 18th goal.

Montreal LW Brandon Prust was scratched from the lineup after appearing to injure his left arm or shoulder in Saturday's loss to Toronto. Coach Michel Therrien said Prust should be back Wednesday against Pittsburgh. ... Flyers D Kent Huskins suffered a concussion less than 6 1/2 minutes into the first period when he received a hit to the head from Canadiens C Ryan White and did not return. White, who received a major for elbowing and a match penalty for the illegal hit, reportedly has been asked by the NHL to attend an in-person meeting that likely will result in a suspension.
