Steve Nash had 14 points and 15 assists on his 37th birthday and Channing Frye had 19 points and 11 rebounds as the visiting Phoenix Suns earned a 104-92 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Monday night.

An 11-0 run gave Phoenix a 17-4 lead midway through the first quarter, and the Suns (24-25) never trailed again, leading by as many as 23 points and holding a double-digit advantage until midway through the fourth quarter.

Phoenix shot 21-of-40 from the field in the first half - including 9-of- 15 on 3-pointers - for a 62-45 halftime lead. The Warriors (22-28) were just 1-of-8 on 3-pointers.

The Suns boosted the lead to 81-58 in the third quarter before the Warriors rallied within 93-88 on Monta Ellis' free throws with 4:42 remaining. But Frye made a 3-pointer and long jumper and Nash sank a 3-pointer for a 101-88 bulge.

Former Warrior Mickael Pietrus celebrated his 29th birthday with 12 points. Jared Dudley also scored 12 for the Suns, who have won four of their last five games.

Ellis had 21 points, 12 rebounds and five assists, reserve Reggie Williams scored 19 points and David Lee had 16 and 10 rebounds for Golden State, which saw its three-game winning streak end. Stephen Curry had 15 points and eight assists.

The teams meet again Thursday in Phoenix.
