Ducks 4, Blues 3: Matt Beleskey snapped a tie midway through the third period and added an assist as Anaheim extended its home winning streak against St. Louis to nine games.
Captain Ryan Getzlaf, Kyle Palmieri and Andrew Cogliano also scored for the league-leading Ducks, who haven't lost to the Blues at home since Oct. 17, 2009. Defenseman Sami Vatanen and Ryan Kesler each notched a pair of assists while Frederik Andersen turned aside 39 shots as Anaheim improved to 2-1-0 on its eight-game homestand.
Blue-liner Kevin Shattenkirk and Alex Steen each recorded a goal and an assist for the Blues, who have lost five straight on the road and six of seven overall. T.J. Oshie also tallied and Martin Brodeur finished with 29 saves.
Getzlaf opened the scoring during a power play 6:29 into the contest by knocking in a loose puck in the slot, but Oshie answered at 2:59 of the second period, converting a rebound on the doorstep. Kesler unleashed a shot while on one knee that was tipped past Brodeur by Palmieri at 5:20 to put Anaheim ahead before Shattenkirk beat Andersen high to the glove side 63 seconds later to forge a 2-2 tie.
The back-and-forth contest continued as Cogliano ripped a shot past Brodeur from the right hash marks midway through the session. Steen knotted things again with a one-timer from the right faceoff dot during a two-man advantage with 3:33 left in the second, but Beleskey skated to the net from the right wing and beat Brodeur with 9:05 remaining in the third to put the Ducks back in front.
