Draymond Green had 23 points and 10 rebounds as Michigan State breezed past visiting Nebraska-Omaha 110-68 on Sunday.

Brandon Wood added 20 points for the Spartans (6-2), who have won six straight after starting the season with losses to North Carolina and Duke.

Michigan State put 12 players into the scoring column and nearly matched their best offensive output since routing Alcorn State 118-60 on Dec. 13, 2008. They wasted little time in establishing their dominance against a similarly overmatched opponent in the game.

C.J. Carter started the game off with a 3-pointer for the Mavericks (3-6), but the Spartans responded with 22 of the next 24 points, ending the first half with a 59-26 lead before extending the advantage to as many as 49 points in the second half.

Michigan State, which entered the game outrebounding opponents by nearly 10 per game, held a 21-rebound advantage at the break and finished with a dominating 53-15 margin on the boards. The Spartans also assisted on 35 of their 46 made field goals.

UNO is reclassifying as a Division I institution this year before becoming a full-fledged member of the Summit League next season. The Mavericks had notched their first Division I victory over Northern Illinois on Saturday.

Mitch Albers led the Mavericks with 17 points.
