Yu Chang had a go-ahead two-run single, Jordan Luplow and Franmil Reyes blasted two-run homers, and the visiting Cleveland Indians powered past the Detroit Tigers 9-3 on Sunday.

Austin Hedges added a solo homer in the ninth for the Indians, who salvaged the finale of a three-game series. Starting pitcher Aaron Civale lasted seven innings, allowing three runs on two hits and striking out six.

Chang and Jose Ramirez had two hits apiece and every player in the Indians' lineup scored a run.

Akil Baddoo homered on the first pitch of his first major league at-bat for Detroit. Nomar Mazara had a two-run homer and starting pitcher Tarik Skubal gave up two runs on four hits in 5 1/3 innings.

The home runs were the only hits the Tigers had. Robbie Grossman drew eight walks in the three-game series, including two on Sunday.

The Indians scored an unearned run in the first. Ramirez singled with two down, stole second and reached third on Skubal's throwing error. Eddie Rosario knocked him in with a single to right.

Detroit scored two runs in the first inning for the third straight game. Willi Castro drew a two-out walk and Mazara then crushed a homer to right.

Baddoo made it 3-1 in the third with his first-pitch homer to left field.

Cleveland scored a run in the sixth. Cesar Hernandez walked and Ramirez doubled him to third.

Detroit manager A.J. Hinch replaced Skubal with Daniel Norris. Rosario had an RBI groundout but Norris struck out Reyes to strand Ramirez at third.

The Indians took the lead with four runs in the seventh against Norris. Amed Rosario led off with a single and Josh Naylor doubled to put two runners in scoring position. Chang ripped a single to left to plate both runners. One out later, Luplow crushed his first homer of the season to give his team a 6-3 lead.

Reyes increased the lead to five runs in the eighth off Buck Farmer with his two-run shot after Eddie Rosario walked.
