Marlins 5, Astros 4 (11): Hanley Ramirez capped a four-hit day with a bases-loaded single in the 11th as host Miami took two of three from Houston.
Ramirez also belted a tying two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth inning and had three RBIs as the Marlins finished 2-3 during manager Ozzie Guillen's five-game suspension.
Chad Gaudin (1-0) worked three scoreless innings, allowing two hits, to pick up the victory and gave Miami its second 11th-inning win in the series.
Logan Morrison collected three hits and drove in a run and Omar Infante had Miami's first home run at Marlins Park.
Jose Altuve had two hits and drove in a pair of runs for Houston, which had the bases loaded in the top of the 11th but couldn't push across the go-ahead run.
Marlins starter Anibal Sanchez worked six innings and was charged with three runs - two earned - on five hits. He fanned seven and walked three.
Astros left-hander J.A. Happ also went six innings, allowing two runs on five hits and striking out eight.
David Carpenter (0-1) allowed one run on three hits in two-thirds of an inning to take the loss.
GAME NOTEBOOK: With their bullpen in shambles, Marlins interim manager Joey Cora let Gaudin bat with runners at first and third and two outs in the 10th. ... Infante extended both his hitting streak to seven games and the club's error streak to five games. The Marlins have committed at least one error in five consecutive games. ... Miami had three errors in the ninth inning in blowing a three-run lead Saturday. ... Houston's J.D. Martinez had an RBI double and has hit safely in all nine games this season. He's batting .371 with three homers and 10 RBIs. ... Miami will host the Chicago Cubs for a three-game set Tuesday-Thursday. The Astros head to Washington for a four-game series beginning Monday.
