Alec Bohm homered and drove in two runs and Zack Wheeler tossed six shutout innings to lift the host Philadelphia Phillies to a 7-1 win and a four-game sweep over the Colorado Rockies on Thursday.

The Phillies scored seven runs on only four hits.

Wheeler (1-3) allowed only one hit to go along with seven strikeouts and four walks.

The struggling Rockies had five hits with no player recording more than one.

Rockies starter Austin Gomber (1-2) gave up three hits and three runs, two earned, in six innings. Gomber struck out six and walked one.

In the second inning, Colorado third baseman Ryan McMahon committed a throwing error, the team's sixth error of the series, and it set up an RBI groundout from Bohm for a 1-0 Phillies lead.

The Rockies placed runners at first and third with one out in the third, but Connor Joe grounded into a double play to end the threat.

The Phillies went ahead 2-0 in the third when Roman Quinn hit a bunt single, stole two bases and scored on a sacrifice fly by Rhys Hoskins.

Bohm blasted a solo homer to left through the swirling wind for a 3-0 advantage in the fourth.

Colorado managed just one hit through the first five innings, a triple by Sam Hilliard.

McMahon reached second with a bunt single and an error by Brad Hand to open the seventh. Jose Iglesias followed with a single and McMahon advanced to third. Hilliard grounded into a fielder's choice but knocked in a run to close within 3-1.

After the Phillies loaded the bases with one out in the seventh, Quinn was walked by Tyler Kinley to score J.T. Realmuto. Jean Segura added an RBI single and the lead extended to 5-1.

Justin Lawrence came in with two outs and hit Bryce Harper with a pitch to force in a run for a 6-1 advantage. Lawrence then walked Nick Castellanos with the bases still loaded for a six-run lead. The Phillies sent 10 batters to the plate in the seventh.

Kris Bryant missed his third consecutive game for the Rockies with back soreness.
