Twins 9, Blue Jays 5 (2nd): Chris Colabello knocked in three runs and Minnesota rallied to score six times in the eighth inning on only one hit and eight walks to complete a doubleheader sweep of visiting Toronto.

Colabello had a bases-loaded walk and Jason Kubel capped the wild eighth inning with a two-run single for the Twins, who scored three on wild pitches in the frame. Brian Dozier had a solo homer, a single and scored three runs while Casey Fien (2-0) pitched a scoreless eighth to earn the victory.

Dioner Navarro and Edwin Encarnacion finished with two hits and an RBI apiece while Jose Bautista belted a solo homer for the Blue Jays. Toronto closer Sergio Santos (0-1) came on in the eighth inning and walked three while uncorking all three wild pitches during the collapse, giving up three runs without retiring a batter.

Encarnacion delivered an RBI single and a Navarro added a sacrifice fly in the first inning, but Dozier homered to left in the bottom of the frame. Bautista slammed his solo shot into the second deck in the fifth before the Blue Jays added runs later in the frame on Brett Lawrie’s bloop single and a fielder’s choice by Ryan Goins for a 5-1 lead.

The Twins knocked out Toronto starter Dustin McGowan in the next half inning after Colabello’s two-run double to the left-field corner pulled them within 5-3. Minnesota loaded the bases with one out on walks in the eighth before Santos’ three wild pitches surrendered the lead.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Dozier’s leadoff homer was his third of the season and sixth of his career. … Twins SS Eduardo Nunez was called up as the 26th man for the second game of the doubleheader and went 1-for-3 with a walk and a sacrifice bunt in the eighth inning. … McGowan allowed three runs, six hits and four walks over four innings-plus and Minnesota starter Mike Pelfrey struggled for the second straight start, yielding five runs (four earned) on four hits and five walks over 4 1/3 innings.
