Twins 8, White Sox 4: Brian Dozier and Oswaldo Arcia each homered and drove in a pair as host Minnesota completed a three-game sweep of Chicago.

Clete Thomas and Eduardo Escobar also homered and Joe Mauer had three hits for the Twins, who went 6-3 on their nine-game homestand. Scott Diamond (5-6) benefited from the run support and picked up the win while allowing four runs - three earned - on seven hits in 5 1/3 innings.

John Danks (1-4) surrendered all four home runs and was charged with six runs on 12 hits in five innings. Adam Dunn and Paul Konerko homered as the White Sox fell for the seventh time in their last eight games.

Minnesota got to Danks in the second, when Arcia blasted a changeup out to right for a 1-0 edge. Thomas followed with a single and Dozier made it 3-0 later in the inning with a towering blast down the line in left.

Chicago got a run back on an error in the fourth but Thomas and Escobar hit back-to-back home runs in the bottom of the frame. The White Sox closed to within two at 6-4 after Konerko and Dunn belted back-to-back homers in the sixth, but Justin Morneau countered with a two-run single in the bottom of that inning.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Chicago RHP Jake Peavy (broken rib) has been cleared to ride a stationary bike and will have an MRI to determine when a throwing program can begin. … White Sox RHP Jesse Crain set a franchise record with his 28th straight scoreless appearance, allowing one hit in one inning. The former Twin has not allowed a run since April 12. … Chicago will continue its road trip at Kansas City on Friday while Minnesota will begin a five-game road trip at Cleveland.
