White Sox 5, Tigers 1: Alexei Ramirez, Tyler Flowers and Paul Konerko clubbed solo home runs to back six scoreless innings by Gavin Floyd as host Chicago extended its winning streak to four games.

Floyd (1-1) allowed only three hits - all by Austin Jackson - while striking out six, walking three and hitting three batters to improve to 7-2 lifetime against Detroit.

Tigers rookie left-hander Adam Wilk (0-1) had his first major league start cut short when he was struck in the shoulder by a foul ball off the bat of teammate Prince Fielder.

Wilk acquitted himself well by allowing only three hits in five innings, but two of them left the yard courtesy off Ramirez and Flowers.

Chicago tacked on a run against Collin Balester in the sixth on back-to-back doubles by Brent Morel and Adam Dunn, and made it 4-0 on Alejandro De Aza's RBI triple in the seventh.

Brennan Boesch belted a solo homer off Jesse Crain in the top of the eighth for the Tigers, who have lost three of four after a 4-0 start.

Floyd wriggled out of early trouble in the second, getting Ryan Raburn on a liner to center after he loaded the bases on a walk and a pair of hit batsmen.
