The Rockies took the lead in the fifth on Troy Tulowitzki’s RBI single to improve to 4-12 on the road since May 1 and move to 6-1 in Chacin’s last seven road starts.
Huston Street worked a perfect ninth inning for his 15th save.
The Giants’ lone run came on Cody Ross’ solo shot in the sixth inning off Chacin (6-4), who gave up four hits on three walks with two strikeouts.
