Jose Bautista hit his major league-leading 39th home run - one of 20 Toronto hits - and Henderson Alvarez won his first career game as the visiting Blue Jays drubbed the Baltimore Orioles 13-0 on Wednesday.
The Blue Jays lit up Baltimore starter Jo-Jo Reyes (7-11) for seven earned runs and eight hits over 2 2/3 innings in building an 11-0 margin through four innings.
Yunel Escobar, Eric Thames and Edwin Encarnacion all contributed four-hit nights for Toronto, which has won 24 of the last 31 meetings with Baltimore.
Alvarez (1-2), a 21-year-old righthander, limited the Orioles to three hits and struck out five in eight innings. The Venezuelan didn't issue a walk in rebounding from losses in his last two starts against Tampa Bay and Oakland.
It was a far cry from Tuesday's exciting opener of the series, which Baltimore won 6-5 on rookie Ryan Adams' RBI single in the 10th.
