Orlando Arcia drove in the go-ahead run with a two-out single in the top of the 10th and the visiting Atlanta Braves defeated the Houston Astros 5-4 on Wednesday to sweep a three-game series.

Arcia, who went 2-for-4 with two RBIs, slapped the decisive single to left against Houston's Seth Martinez (1-1). Arcia was 5-for-8 with one homer and five RBIs in the series.

The Astros had runners on the corners with one out in the bottom of the 10th when Jeremy Pena grounded into a game-ending double play.

A.J. Minter (3-1) got the win and Raisel Iglesias earned his fifth save of the season.

Atlanta is now 2-0 in extra-inning games. Houston is 0-2.

Neither starter factored into the decision.

Astros right-hander J.P. France made his first career appearance against the Braves. He pitched five innings and allowed two runs on four hits with one walk and four strikeouts. Atlanta's Max Fried also pitched five innings and gave up three runs on seven hits, with a season-high four walks and two strikeouts.

The Astros scored first on a solo homer by Yordan Alvarez, his fifth long ball of the year, and the Braves tied it on Marcell Ozuna's 432-foot blast over the left-center-field wall in the second inning. The home run was Ozuna's eighth, giving him the major league lead, and extended his hitting streak to 16 games.

Ronald Acuna Jr. hit his first home run of 2024, a solo shot in the fifth inning, to give the Braves a 2-1 lead.

The Astros regained the lead in the bottom of the fifth. Alex Bregman singled home a run, and Kyle Tucker smacked a run-scoring double to right.

Houston increased the lead to 4-2 in the sixth inning when Mauricio Dubon ripped his first homer of the season against Atlanta reliever Jesse Chavez.

The Braves tied the score in the eighth inning. Reliever Ryan Pressly gave up Matt Olson's run-scoring grounder that went off the glove of first baseman Jose Abreu, who was charged with an error, and Arcia's sacrifice fly.
