Yusei Kikuchi pitched a two-hitter on the way to his first major league shutout and was supported by four home runs Sunday afternoon as the visiting Seattle Mariners defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 7-0.

Kikuchi allowed one walk and struck out eight.

Kyle Seager, Austin Nola, Tom Murphy and Keon Broxton homered for the Mariners, who took the rubber match of the three-game series.

It was the first win for Kikuchi (5-8) since June 23, a span of eight starts in which he lost three times. His previous win had been May 19.

In his 14 starts before Sunday, the left-hander was 1-7 with a 7.50 ERA with 23 home runs allowed. It is his first season in the majors after pitching in Japan.

Wilmer Font (3-3) allowed one run and three hits while striking out three over two innings as Toronto's opener.

The run off Font was provided by Seager, who extended his hit streak to 12 games with his 16th homer of the season to lead off the second inning.

Thomas Pannone took over for Toronto in the third inning and gave up three runs, four hits and two walks in 3 2/3 innings.

The lefthander allowed three runs in the fourth on Nola's sixth homer of the season, which was followed by Daniel Vogelbach's two-out single and Murphy's 13th homer.

The Mariners had runners at the corners with one out in the fifth, but Nola grounded into an inning-ending double play.

Sam Gaviglio replaced Pannone with two away in the sixth after Vogelbach walked. Gaviglio struck out Murphy to end the inning.

Broxton led off the seventh against Gaviglio with his sixth homer of the year to put Seattle ahead 5-0.

Toronto's Justin Shafer pitched around a single and an intentional walk in the eighth.

In the ninth, reliever Zack Godley walked Broxton to lead off the inning. Dylan Moore hit an RBI double and Tim Lopes followed with an RBI single.

The Blue Jays were without third baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr., who is listed as day to day with inflammation in his left knee. He left the game Saturday after two innings.
