Joe Panik capped a three-run bottom of the ninth with a sacrifice fly, and the Toronto Blue Jays defeated the visiting Miami Marlins 6-5 Wednesday night at Buffalo.
Miami closer Yimi Garcia (3-4) allowed singles to Reese McGuire and Marcus Semien to start the bottom of the ninth. Bo Bichette tripled to tie the score.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Teoscar Hernandez were walked intentionally to load the bases for Randal Grichuk, who had two solo home runs in the game.
Grichuk's grounder to third forced Bichette at home. Panik hit a fly to center that was dropped to give the Blue Jays a two-game sweep.
Anthony Castro (1-1) pitched the top of the ninth to earn the win.
The Marlins hit a season-best four home runs, with a two-run blast by Jazz Chisholm and solo shots by Jesus Aguilar, Corey Dickerson and Starling Marte.
Miami starter Pablo Lopez gave up two runs on five hits (two homers) in four innings while striking out nine.
Toronto starter Alek Manoah allowed four runs, four hits and three walks in 3 1/3 innings in his second career major-league start.
Dickerson led off the second inning with his second homer of the season, a drive to center field.
Grichuk led off the bottom of the second by hitting a homer to left.
Jose Devers led off the third with an infield single that hit Manoah. Chisholm followed with a home run to left field, his sixth homer of the season. Aguilar hit his 10th of the season down the left-field line.
Manoah loaded the bases with one out in the fourth on two walks and a hit batter. Reliever Joel Payamps ended the inning with a strikeout and a groundout.
Grichuk led off the bottom of the fourth with his 11th homer of the season, a blast to left.
Marte hit his third homer of the season, against Trent Thornton, in the seventh to extend his hitting streak to 12 games.
