Braves 6, Astros 3: Jason Heyward had three hits, including his first home run, and the Braves won their second straight after opening the season with four losses.
Randall Delgado (1-0) allowed five hits with six strikeouts over five innings to earn the win, and Craig Kimbrel worked around two baserunners in the ninth inning for his second save.
After throwing 14 scoreless innings over his last two starts against Atlanta, Wandy Rodriguez (0-1) gave up four runs (three earned) on six hits with five strikeouts over five innings.
J.D. Martinez lined a solo home run to left field in the first inning to give the Astros an early lead, but the Braves answered with a run in the second inning.
David Ross’ two-run double highlighted a three-run fourth inning for the Braves, who have won seven of the last nine games in Houston and eight of 11 overall.
