Jonah Bride's three-run home run highlighted a six-run outburst in the fourth inning, and Edward Cabrera pitched five scoreless innings to spark the visiting Miami Marlins to a 7-0 win over Atlanta Braves on Sunday for a split of their four-game series.

Cabrera (2-3) entered the game with a 6.65 ERA and had not won since April 21. He pitched five shutout innings Sunday -- his longest scoreless stint of the season -- on three hits, two walks and eight strikeouts. It was his first victory in four career starts against the Braves.

The Marlins' bullpen covered the final four innings without allowing a run. Emmanuel Ramirez (two innings), Jesus Tinoco (one inning) and George Soriano (one) finished Miami's sixth shutout of the season. They combined to end Atlanta's streak of nine straight games with a home run.

The losing pitcher was Max Fried (7-6), who was making his first start since July 11 since being idled by left forearm neuritis. He pitched 3 1/3 innings and gave up five runs on four hits, a season-high five walks and six strikeouts.

The Marlins broke open the scoreless tie in the fourth inning. Cristian Pache, a former Atlanta prospect, singled home the first run. Ali Sanchez forced a run home on an infield grounder, and Xavier Edwards followed with an RBI single to extend his career-high on-base streak to 21 games and knock Fried out of the game.

Atlanta reliever Luke Jackson struck out Jake Burger, but Bride connected with a slider for a three-run shot to give Miami a 6-0 lead. It was Bride's third homer of the season, all within the last five games.

Atlanta appeared to have scored a run in the third inning. Jorge Soler singled and scored on Austin Riley's double. But a video review reversed the call, and Soler was ruled out.

It was the sixth time the Braves have been shutout this season and the first time Atlanta has been shut out at home since Aug. 28, 2021, ending a streak of 231 games.
