Blake Perkins had three hits, including a go-ahead two-run single, to lead the visiting Milwaukee Brewers to an 8-5 win over the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday.

The Brewers have won the first two games of the three-game series. Atlanta has lost four in a row.

Milwaukee rallied for three runs in the sixth inning to take a 6-4 lead. Gary Sanchez tied the score with an RBI single and Perkins delivered a two-out single to drive in a pair.

Perkins finished with three RBIs and was one of four Brewers with three hits. Joey Ortiz was 3-for-4 with two RBIs, while Jackson Chourio and Rhys Hoskins were both 3-for-5. Hoskins extended his hitting streak to 12 games.

Milwaukee had 16 hits for the second straight game.

Brewers starter Freddy Peralta (7-6) pitched five innings and gave up four runs on eight hits and two walks. He struck out six and earned his first win since June 30.

Pierce Johnson (4-4) took the loss after allowing three runs in one-third of an inning.

Braves starter Chris Sale went 4 2/3 innings, surrendering three runs (two earned) on nine hits and two walks, striking out 10. It marked Sale's fourth double-digit strikeout game this season and the 85th of his career, moving him past Steve Carlton and into eighth place on the all-time list.

Atlanta's offense ended its streak of 24 consecutive scoreless innings by plating a pair in the first on Wednesday. Jorge Soler and Austin Riley hit back-to-back doubles to start the inning, and Riley later scored on Matt Olson's sacrifice fly.

Milwaukee cut the lead to 2-1 in the third inning. Sanchez led off with a walk and scored after Soler's fielding error in right on Ortiz's two-out double.

The Brewers went ahead 3-2 by scoring twice in the fifth. Ortiz drove in a run with a single and Perkins singled to score Sanchez with the go-ahead run, which chased Sale from the game.

Riley hit a two-run homer, his 16th, in the fifth to give the Braves a 4-3 lead.
