Pedro Severino hit a tiebreaking sacrifice fly in the ninth inning to lift the visiting Baltimore Orioles to a 4-3 win over the New York Yankees on Saturday after taking a no-hitter into the seventh.

Trey Mancini drew a walk to load the bases with nobody out in the ninth inning against Aroldis Chapman (5-4). After Chapman struck out Ramon Urias, Severino lifted a 3-2 pitch that was deep enough to left field for Ryan Mountcastle to score and give Baltimore a 4-3 lead.

Severino's go-ahead RBI occurred after Jorge Lopez allowed a game-tying two-run homer to Joey Gallo with nobody out in the eighth inning. Lopez fanned Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton before Cole Sulser (4-3) retired Anthony Rizzo to end the eighth.

Sulser finished the three-hitter with a perfect ninth inning.

Gallo snapped a 0-for-17 skid with his 31st homer but the Yankees only mustered one hit out of the infield and lost for the fifth time in seven contests following a 13-game winning streak.

Gleyber Torres hit a pinch-hit RBI infield single that ended Baltimore's no-hit bid with one out in the seventh off Marcos Diplan. According to STATS, it was the longest the Yankees were held hitless since Minnesota's Jake Odorizzi held the Yankees without a hit for 7 1/3 innings on Sept. 12, 2018.

Torres batted for Andrew Velazquez with two on and ended Baltimore's bid for its second no-hitter this season by grounding a 3-2 pitch up the middle. Second baseman Jahmai Jones was shifted closer to first base and significantly ranged to his left but bobbled the ball after it hopped over the second base bag.

Baltimore held a 3-0 lead as Mancini scored on a wild pitch in the fourth inning before Cedric Mullins hit an RBI double and scored on an infield tapper by Austin Hays in the seventh.

Chris Ellis went the first five innings and allowed four baserunners while getting several hard outs. The closest the Yankees came to a hit off him occurred three batters in when left fielder Ryan McKenna misplayed Judge's liner for an error.

Tanner Scott kept the no-bid going by retiring Gallo, Judge and Stanton in the sixth inning. Scott was replaced by Diplan after Rizzo reached on a fielding error by Jones and Brett Gardner walked.

New York left-hander Jordan Montgomery allowed one run on six hits in 4 2/3 innings.
