Justin Turner homered for one of his three hits and Mookie Betts rapped a go-ahead two-run single during Los Angeles' nine-run seventh inning, as the visiting Dodgers rallied for a seventh consecutive victory, 10-5 over the Washington Nationals on Friday night in D.C.

Turner's solo homer in the fourth and three other hits were all Los Angeles managed against Washington star Max Scherzer through the first six innings. However, once Scherzer, who struck out eight, exited the game, the Dodgers' bats came alive.

Down 3-1 in the seventh, Los Angeles got within a run on Albert Pujols' RBI infield single against Sam Clay (0-1). After the Dodgers loaded the bases, Betts gave the visitors a 4-3 lead on his two-run single off Austin Voth.

Max Muncy plated two more with a single of his own and Chris Taylor (two hits) made it 8-3 with a two-out, two-run single to further stun the Nationals crowd. A.J. Pollock completely broke the game open with his two-run homer to right field to make it a 10-3 contest.

The Dodgers, who were honored at The White House on Friday for their 2020 World Series title, have outscored Washington 29-12 while winning all five meetings this season.

The Nationals scored three runs in the second. Starlin Castro opened with a single, then Yan Gomes doubled off the left-field wall. Both scored on Turner's poor throw to first base off the bat of Victor Robles, who scored on Humberto Arteaga's sacrifice fly.

Los Angeles' Julio Urias (10-3) yielded all three of those runs -- but only one was earned -- plus three hits with three walks and three strikeouts over six innings.

Washington has dropped the first two of this four-game set after winning four in a row. Making matters potentially worse for the Nationals, slugger Kyle Schwarber, the NL Player of the Month for June after hitting 16 of his 25 home runs, exited in the second inning with an apparent leg injury.

Nationals shortstop Trea Turner missed his second consecutive contest with a finger issue.
