Carlos Carrasco struck out 12 batters in five innings and Jake Bauers had a two-run single as the host Cleveland Indians posted a 7-2 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday.

Jose Ramirez had two hits and scored twice and Carlos Santana ripped an RBI single to extend his hitting streak to seven games for the Indians, who have won the first three contests of the four-game series. The seven runs were a season high for Cleveland.

Freddy Galvis homered for the second time in as many contests and Randal Grichuk added an RBI double in the fifth inning for the Blue Jays, who have lost six of their last seven games.

Carrasco (1-1) allowed two runs on six hits to rebound from a porous start in which he yielded six and 10, respectively, over 4 1/3 innings of a 9-3 loss at Minnesota on Sunday.

The 32-year-old right-hander, who struck out the side in the fourth inning, amid giving up a single and a double, ran into trouble in the fifth when he saw Galvis deposit his 1-1 slider into the seats in right-center field. Teoscar Hernandez followed with a single and Grichuk snapped an 0-for-10 stretch in the series with an RBI double to left-center to cut Cleveland's lead to 4-2.

Jordan Luplow scored on a wild pitch from 19-year-old Elvis Luciano in the bottom of the fifth inning, and Santana crossed home plate on a fielder's choice to regain the four-run advantage later in the fifth. Ramirez gave the Indians a 7-2 lead in the sixth after coming around to score following catcher Danny Jansen's throwing error.

Cleveland jumped out of the blocks in a hurry as Greg Allen recorded his first hit of the season with a double into the left field corner to lead off the bottom of the first. Allen came around to score after Santana sent a high fastball from Thomas Pannone (0-2) to left field for a two-out RBI single as the Indians claimed a 1-0 lead after plating just their second run in the first inning this season.

Eric Stamets collected his first major league hit with a double to lead off the third inning before Cleveland loaded the bases. The Indians picked up their fourth bases-loaded walk of the season after Hanley Ramirez reached to take a 2-0 lead and Bauers doubled the advantage with a two-out, two-run single past the shift to spell the end of the afternoon for Pannone.
