Christian Yelich helped the visiting Brewers win a game Monday even without the aid of a home run. His double and run in the ninth inning were the difference in Milwaukee's 4-3 victory over the Cincinnati Reds.

After hitting a home run in each of his team's first four games to match a major league record, Yelich was 0-for-4 and had left three runners on base against the Reds before hitting a two-out double in the ninth inning. Ryan Braun followed with an RBI double as the Brewers won for the fourth time in five games.

Brewers right-hander Alex Wilson (1-0) pitched 1 2/3 scoreless innings to earn the victory. Left-hander Josh Hader pitched a scoreless ninth inning for his third save in three chances, working around a leadoff double by Curt Casali.

Reds right-hander Raisel Iglesias (0-1), who has given up a run in each of his two outings this season, took the loss for the Reds.

Trailing 3-0 in the fifth inning, the Reds started to rally when Yasiel Puig delivered a two-run double. It was the first hit in a Cincinnati uniform for Puig, who was acquired in a December trade with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Reds' Matt Kemp, who was also acquired from the Dodgers in the same trade that delivered Puig, was ejected to end the fifth inning after arguing a called third strike.

The Reds were able to tie the game 3-3 in the sixth inning on an RBI groundout by Derek Dietrich.

The Brewers took an early 3-0 lead against Reds starter Tanner Roark in a busy first inning that saw plenty of traffic on the bases for both teams. With the bases loaded and one out four batters into the game, Jesus Aguilar delivered a two-run single, followed by a run-scoring double from Mike Moustakas.

The Reds also loaded the bases in the first inning with one out against Brewers starter Zach Davies. However, Kemp and Jose Peraza struck out to end the threat.

Roark, who was acquired from the Washington Nationals via trade in December, gave up three runs on six hits over 4 1/3 innings of his Cincinnati debut. He struck out six and walked three.

Davies, in his first start of the season for the Brewers, gave up two runs on four hits over five innings with six strikeouts and four walks.
