BOSTON -- A look at the offensive numbers tells you all you need to know about the Toronto Blue Jays' 11-game winning streak.

In matching the longest streak in franchise history, the Jays have scored 88 runs. They have hit .312 with a .518 slugging percentage and have hit .473 with runners in scoring position. They have hit 18 homers and had at least 10 hits in eight of the games.

Over the weekend, Toronto, which hammered the floundering Boston Red Sox 13-5 on Sunday, scored 31 runs on 43 hits -- and they produced the runs with exactly no home runs from Josh Donaldson, Jose Bautista and Edwin Encarnacion, who came in with 41 among them.

"We're some kinda hot right now," Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said after his team won an 11th straight game for the fourth time in franchise history. "It's a good lineup."

The Jays (34-30) gave up 19 runs in the three games, but eight of those came when the last-place Red Sox, who have lost six straight, built an 8-1 lead they couldn't hold Friday night.

Second baseman Ryan Goins smacked a three-run home run and two-run double for a career-high five RBIs, and left fielder Danny Valencia hit a two-run shot -- as the Blue Jays chased dynamic Red Sox rookie Eduardo Rodriguez with six runs in the fourth and four more in the fifth.

"The only word to describe it is fun, you know?" said Goins. "When you're getting hits and scoring runs, it's fun. That's one word to describe this series."

Goins, who broke out of an 0-for-16 slump with two hits Friday, went 6-for-14 with nine RBIs in the series. Catcher Russell Martin, who had a game-tying three-run triple Friday and a game-winning homer in the 11th inning on Saturday, went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and three runs scored Sunday.

Rodriguez, 2-0 with an 0.44 ERA in three major league starts coming in, got no help from his defense, with the sun a major culprit, as his ERA jumped to 3.55. After striking out seven in each of his first three starts, he fanned only one.

"Early on in the (six-run) inning, they did a good job of putting a bat on the ball, fighting off some tough pitches," said Boston manager John Farrell. "They get a break on some balls that fall in. Goins with the big three-run homer, (he) had a big series here against us."

Second baseman Dustin Pedroia clearly lost two pop flies in the sun and may have lost a third, right fielder Alejandro De Aza misjudged a pop fly and then also fumbled around on the ground for the ball, which let another run score. In addition, Hanley Ramirez continued his not-so-excellent adventure in left field by playing a double poorly off the wall to allow a run to score. A loud chorus of boos followed the Ramirez misplay -- as the Red Sox dropped to 27-37 and fell a season-high eight games out of first place.

After Goins capped the six-run inning, Valencia greeted right-hander Steven Wright by hitting his shot -- the second homer of the season for both. Goins ripped a two-run double in the seventh, taking third on an error by center fielder Rusney Castillo, the first official error charged to the home team.

Staked to a 10-0 lead, starter Marco Estrada gave up five runs in the fifth, an inning capped by a three-run homer by David Ortiz. Estrada (4-3) lasted five innings in his third straight June win after a winless May. He also became the first Toronto starter this season to win a game while allowing at least five runs.

Right-hander Ryan Tepera and lefty Phil Coke, in his debut with his new team, finished up with two scoreless innings apiece.

While six Toronto players had multi-hit games, Pedroia and third baseman Pablo Sandoval had two hits apiece for Boston in the latest loss.

"We're not in a good place right now as a team, but it's not because we're not giving effort," said Farrell. "We're not executing completely."
