Reds 4, Diamondbacks 3:
Zack Cozart, Todd Frazier, Ryan Ludwick and Chris Heisey all hit solo home runs as visiting Cincinnati took three of four from Arizona.

Alfredo Simon (7-3) limited the Diamondbacks to three runs and seven hits over 6 1/3 innings and two relievers bridged the gap to Aroldis Chapman, who struck out two in a perfect ninth for his seventh save. Arizona starter Wade Miley (3-6) struck out nine over six frames but allowed four runs — all on solo homers — and eight hits.

Cozart and Ludwick each recorded two hits while Brayan Pena extended his hitting streak to nine games with a second-inning single for the Reds, who won the final three contests of the series after dropping the opener. Miguel Montero had two hits and an RBI while Martin Prado and David Peralta added two hits apiece for the Diamondbacks.

Cozart led off the third with his second homer of the season and Frazier followed three batters later with his 10th blast. Ludwick smacked his fourth of the year with two outs in the fourth, but Simon gave up the three-run cushion in the bottom of the inning, as Montero doubled home a run, Eric Chavez lifted a sacrifice fly and Ender Inciarte tied it with an RBI single.

Heisey put the Reds back on top in the fifth, driving an 0-1 fastball out to left-center. Arizona closer Addison Reed came on to get the Diamondbacks out of a bases-loaded, one-out jam in the ninth and keep it a one-run game, but Chapman blew through the bottom-third of the order to close it out.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Diamondbacks placed OF A.J. Pollock (fractured right hand) on the 15-day disabled list and called up Peralta, who made his major-league debut starting in left field and batting seventh. … Reds CF Billy Hamilton was scratched from the lineup with a sore right elbow. Skip Schumaker replaced him in center field and Heisey took over the leadoff spot in the batting order. … Arizona became the first team in major-league history to start five Venezuelan players and have each collect at least one hit.
